Lipizzaner History
Introduction:
Hi. I’m Grace. I’m studying about Lipizzaner History. Lipizzaners were nicknamed The Dancing White Horses. Lipizzaners are AMAZING creatures. They are also very graceful.
History of Lipizzans
The Lipizzaner breed started 400 years ago Breed first found in Spain, 1562. They started breeding in Kladrub,Austria The original place of breeding was on a farm.The farm was called Lippizza. Thee emperor’s brother bought 33 of the magnificent horses.The royal Austrian family has raised Lipizzaners for over 350 years! The Lipizzaner was not only a show pony, they also pulled carriages. These horses were VERY athletic. In the 1700s/1800s some soldiers had envy. They had to be gaurded well. Their lives were in great danger!

The foals (babies) are born dark but lighten with age
White (Gray because they have BLACK skin )They are born dark and lighten with age.
Fun facts:
In shows its proper to have 1 dark stallion.The Lipizzaner breed can preform movements others can’t.There are 2,500 in the world. A disney movie is called " Miracle Of The Dancing White Stallions”.They can run 25 m.p.h. 10 yrs after breeding a riding school started.Lipizzaners, Spainish Stock, Barb, and Arabian horses are in the same family.

MY name is Grace. I am 9 1/2 years old. I live in Columbus, Ohio. I love to travel and meet new people. I have a little sister named, Jane. Jane and me go horse-back riding at Sid Griffith Stables. Jane and I fight sometimes. But I love her. (Even when she gets on my last nerve.)I go to school at Scioto Darby. I'm in 4th grade. My teacher is Mrs.Johnson. Mrs.Johnson is one of my most favorite teachers I've had so far.
